Adding materials to initials in fusion 360

materials used:

copper-polished
mirror
stone- black and white
white leather (matte)

I chose these materials as I liked the appearance of them together. I thought it gave off a soft, feminine look as the white leather worked well combined with the stone due to its neutral colour which I added to a rose-gold, copper material. I also used the mirror material for the surfaces of my initials, W and R because those were the ends of the shape and the mirror seems to create an illusion to extend it further.

additioanlly, i wanted to attempt another rendering of materials to experiment with different combiinations. Here i used the plaza environment along with frosted glass (medium), jade (white-green) gemstone and chrome.

Fusion 360-
making the transition space using paper

To create the same transition space that I made in fusion 360, I cut out 3 prism nets; one large rectangular prism, one small rectangular prism and a large cube.

WEEK 08

Adding the photoshopped models to a virtual environment:

I chose to add the models to a grey cloudy environment because it worked well with the dark colour scheme of the materials. I also liked the moody atmosphere and feel it gave to the design.

WEEK08- MATERIALS

applying materials to models using photoshop:

My material choices were derived from research of material palettes that I found aesthetically pleasing and reflected my interests. I particularly like dark colours, therefore the materials that I have chosen do not range much in colour, instead they stay within the black, grey and white tones.
